Victory to Rama, the eternal abode of bliss, O Hari! Raghunayak who bears arrow, bow, and quiver. O Lord, you are the lion that tears apart the elephant of worldly existence. Ocean of virtues, O wise and all-pervading Lord! Your body has the beauty of countless Cupids. Siddhas, great sages, and poets sing your glories. Your holy fame seized the great serpent Ravana — as Garuda, lord of birds, seizes a snake in anger. You delight your devotees and destroy sorrow and fear. Ever free from wrath, the Lord is full of wisdom. Your incarnation is generous, of infinite virtues. You destroy the earth's burden; you are the essence of knowledge. Unborn, all-pervading, one, without beginning, eternal — I joyfully bow to you, Rama, ocean of mercy. O ornament of the Raghu dynasty, slayer of Dushana — you have made Vibhishana king; he stood humble and poor. Treasure of virtue and wisdom, free from pride, unborn — I ever bow to Rama, the all-pervading, the pure. Your mighty arms have awesome power and strength. You uproot hosts of the wicked with supreme skill. Compassionate to the lowly without any reason — I bow to the abode of beauty, together with Rama (Lakshmi). You deliver from worldly existence, the supreme cause. You destroy the terrible flaws born of the mind. Bearing arrows, quiver, and beautiful bow — with lotus-red eyes, you are the best among kings. Abode of bliss, beautiful, the delight of Sri (Lakshmi). You subdue the pride of Cupid, vanity, and attachment. Beyond reproach, undivided, beyond the reach of senses — you are all forms, yet are not any of them. Thus say the Vedas — this is no mere tale — just as sunlight is both different and not different from the sun. O all-pervading Lord, all these monkeys are fulfilled; they gaze reverently upon your face. Shame on the life of gods whose bodies you have freed, yet who have forgotten you, lost in worldly delusion. Now, O compassionate one who loves the lowly, show mercy. Remove my intellect that creates division. Through which wrong actions are performed and suffering is mistaken for happiness. O destroyer of the wicked, adorner of beautiful forgiveness — your lotus feet are served by Shambhu and Uma. O lord of kings, grant this boon: eternal love for your lotus feet, the ever-auspicious.
