(तापस ने कहा) रात्रि घोर (अँधेरी), गम्भीर वन, पथ (रास्ता) नहीं — सुनो, सुजान (बुद्धिमान)! आज यहीं रहो — ऐसा जानकर। बिहान (सवेरा) होते जाना। (तुलसीदास कहते हैं) जैसी भवतव्यता (भाग्य-लिपि) — वैसी सहायता मिलती। आप ही उसके पास आता — उसे वहाँ ले जाता।
