The yogis became free from obstacles, but Rati, hearing of her husband's fate, fainted. Weeping and lamenting in many ways, she went in anguish to Shankara. With great love she made various entreaties, standing before him with folded hands. The Lord, who is easily pleased and compassionate, looked upon the helpless woman and spoke truthfully.
