देखि राम छबि कोउ एक कहई। जोगु जानकिहि यह बरु अहई।।
जौ सखि इन्हहि देख नरनाहू। पन परिहरि हठि करइ बिबाहू।।

राम की छबि (सौन्दर्य) देखकर कोई एक कहती — (कहती) जानकी (सीता) के लिए यही वर (दूल्हा) योग्य है। यदि, सखि! इन्हें नरनाह (राजा जनक) देख लें — तो पण (प्रतिज्ञा) छोड़कर हठपूर्वक विवाह करें।
