Waving gems, garments, and ornaments, they perform arati and sing auspicious songs. Gods shower flowers; bards, minstrels, and panegyrists proclaim his fair renown. The auspicious women brought the prince and princess to the nuptial chamber with great joy. With deep love, they began performing the worldly rites, singing auspicious songs. Gauri teaches Rama the nuptial games with Sita, and Saraswati instructs. The whole inner court is immersed in laughter, sport, and sentiment—all taste the true fruit of life. Sita gazes at the gem in her hand and sees reflected there the image of the supremely beautiful Lord. Her vine-like arms will not move; her eyes will not look away, Janaki being held by the fear of separation. The play, amusement, joy, and love that ensued cannot be told—only her intimate friends know. With the fair prince and princess, all the friends then led them to the guest quarters. At that moment, blessings were heard everywhere—in the city and the sky, great bliss prevailed. "Long live the four lovely couples!" everyone said gladly. Mighty yogis, adepts, great sages, and gods, beholding the Lord, sounded their celestial drums. They departed happily, showering flowers, returning to their own realms, proclaiming "Victory! Victory! Victory!"
