Forgive their faults; I have been very presumptuous in sending them forth." Then the Ornament of the Solar Race treated his in-law with every honor. The mutual courtesies cannot be told; both hearts were brimming with love. Hosts of gods showered flowers as the king proceeded to the guest quarters. Drums, victory-cries, Vedic chanting, and festive excitement filled the sky and city. Then the friends, singing auspicious songs on the sage's command, led the grooms together with their brides to the nuptial chamber.
